WE’re more than you think.
We’re a family-inspired company that was built out of the authenticity and integrity of a recipe that was made with pure love.
We’re community-oriented and brought Gorilla Rx into the world as an offering to help grow a non-profit, and along the way, discovered a need for our products.
Medical marijuana application
You can apply for your CA Medical Marijuana Card, 100% online by following the link!
The first step to receiving a California medical marijuana card online is to register by clicking the “Apply Here" button to be taken to mmjrecs.com
Create a new patient log-in after clicking on the ‘Get Started’ or ‘Register’ button. While you’re filling in all of your info, don’t forget to upload a photo of your valid driver’s license and answer the simple questionnaire compiled by our licensed physicians.
The next step is to have a chat with your doctor. You’ll meet face-to-face with one of our certified California medical marijuana doctors via video chat to evaluate whether your medical condition qualifies you for California’s MMJ program.
If you are eligible to apply for a California medical cannabis card, your doctor will email you a doctor’s certification for medical marijuana instantly.
This certification can be printed off and presented immediately at most dispensaries and delivery services in the state of California. Your original embossed certificate will be posted to you the next day in a discreet, unmarked envelope.
If you wish, you can also register with the California Department of Public Health for tax savings on the MMIC (Medical Marijuana Identification Card) program. To apply for the card, you’ll be required to submit a valid proof of identity, proof of residency and your MMJ doctor’s.

Uprooted Episode 3: Inadequate and Inequitable
Those who have the most to lose in an overtaxed and over-regulated cannabis marketplace are disadvantaged communities negatively impacted by the War on Drugs. There is a consensus that the economic value of cannabis legalization will bring forth an opportunity for an equitable industry. But making that happen isn’t easy — local lawmakers and would-be business owners must navigate a complex web of regulatory challenges. The high cost of owning and operating a cannabis business is out of reach for too many. Members of the communities that were supposed to benefit from legalization find themselves in limbo, struggling to succeed in a market that’s stacked against them. Lawmakers and regulators are working to create a more functional framework for cannabis in their communities, but the fight is not yet won. Prohibition in California persists despite the passage of Prop 64. It will take a lot of people working together to manifest the market Californians envisioned when they voted to legalize cannabis.
“Accela” - Social Equity: Up In Smoke
The second episode in our series follows the story of various social equity applicants and their troubles with the Accela platform while applying for cannabis licensing. A tech expert weighs in and we dive deeper into the normalization process.
